What is front grille?

A front grille, often simply referred to as a grille, is a component found on the front of a vehicle, typically between the headlights.

What role does it play?

It mainly has three functions:

Aesthetics: The grille is designed to enhance the appearance of the vehicle's front end. They come in a variety of styles, designs, and materials, allowing automakers and owners to customize the appearance of their vehicles.

Airflow: There are openings or vents in the grille that allow air to flow into the engine compartment for cooling. Proper airflow is vital to maintaining engine temperature, preventing overheating and ensuring optimal performance.

Protection: The grille acts as a barrier, protecting your vehicle's radiator and other interior components from debris like gravel, bugs, and other road debris. They prevent these objects from damaging or blocking your radiator.

Brand recognition: Some vehicles have a unique grille design that is part of their brand, making them easily identifiable. The grille may feature the manufacturer's logo or emblem.

Which car models the honeycomb style front grills design for?

We designed separate center grilles for the mk6 Jetta and the mk7 Jetta. They are both honeycomb GLI style. One of it fits for 2015-2018 Volkswagen Jetta, the other fits for 2019-2020 Volkswagen Jetta. After installing this VW Jetta grill, your car will look like a Jetta GLi model.
